Today was our final class. We want to complete it well with mixed feelings, happy and sad. We were so glad because teaching this semester make us grow to approach a good teacher. The sad thing is that we just felt that we merely got to know our students more and finally found a way to teach students with confidence.

We were chatting with students as always to make connections before class officially began and introducing our guest Alex to students. We provide a clear table of content for today’s agenda of class. Then, we were checking students’ attendance by asking them to type number one into chat box. Now I feel that we should change the order between participation checking and class review. It can buy some time for some students arriving later and connect with attended students. After the review of the adverb clause, we had a Jeopardy game. We were trying to interact with students if they know about the game. Then, Sarah gave a clear explanation of it. To us surprised, the game took much longer than we planned, so we could not finish all the questions. Luckily, students are pretty engaged because we made a name list of groups. Everyone has a chance to be called on, which profoundly allies our pressure of nominating students without responses.

Later, we gave students rules and practice for reducing the adverb clause of time and reason respectively. What I reflect here is that my rate of delivery was too fast, which gave rise to get students confused when they did practice with me. Finally, our exit tickets were summarised for what they learned from us this semester. Seeing those replies in chat box makes me feel a sense of achievement.

Overall, we made our final class. What further I can do is time controlling and occasional flexibility.
