The class is mainly for adult students who are beginners without any basic English background. The teacher facilitates students on English learning by using realia, which advantages students to understand and memorize relevant vocabulary through visual aid. Also, the teacher sets up a real scene to make students immerse into it by means of role play to practice situational dialogue. Besides, what outstanding quality the teacher has is to guide and encourage students. I mean the entire journey of teaching is completely student-centred, the teacher always leads students to talk more based on students’ actual experience. I think it is good way to let students engage in course content. Another excellent quality is to assess learning promptly, it is to track student’s learning situation promptly by way of checking and correcting students at different tables. The review and activities help students deepen the impression of learning, and it also can assess students if they grasp what they learnt. The challenge is that the examples teacher provided lack visual shock. I mean writing down dialogue in white board with drawing is rigid. I believe giving some color shock can attract students’ attention for a bit longer. What I will take away from observation is to teach students through linking real objectives with situational dialogue considered comprehensive practices, such as speaking, reading, writing and listening. Overall, what is worth for me to absorb is to create a well-prepared, well-structured, well-educated lesson plan.
